Life happens — we get it. If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible.

• 45 days or more before arrival: Full refund for the total amount we received (minus any payment-processor fees).
• 44 days or fewer before arrival: Payments are non-refundable.

Guests who don’t arrive or cancel after check-in time forfeit the full booking amount. We strongly recommend travel-cancellation insurance for peace of mind.

In the rare event we need to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances (storms, power outages, or anything beyond our control), our liability is limited to a full refund of any payment you’ve made.

Payments are handled through our secure processor (currently PayPal), which charges a 3.5 % transaction fee. That portion is retained by PayPal and cannot be refunded once charged.

By booking with Macaw Bungalows & Treehouses, the lead guest agrees to these terms on behalf of the entire party. Please review them before confirming your reservation — and reach out with any questions.

• The lead guest must be 18 years or older.
• Treehouses: Rates are based on the total unit, not per person. The price remains the same for one, two, or three guests (depending on the treehouse’s listed capacity).
• Bungalows: Rates include up to two guests. Additional guests are $33 USD per person, per night.
• Only registered guests listed on your booking may use the property and its facilities. Outside visitors require prior approval.
• The person making the reservation is responsible for any cancellation, non-arrival, or damages as outlined below.

• Full payment is due at the time of booking to secure your stay.
• Payments are accepted via PayPal (or other processors listed on our booking page).

• Treehouses: Flat rate per unit — the nightly rate is the same for one, two, or three guests (depending on each treehouse’s listed capacity, up to 3–4 guests total).
• Bungalows: Rates include two guests. A third guest may be added for $33 USD per night, when the unit allows it.
• We welcome guests 12 years and older.

Please be mindful of fellow travelers, neighbors, and the serenity of the property. We reserve the right to end a stay without refund if guests create disturbances or disregard these policies.

We’ll coordinate arrival times by message to ensure a smooth hand-off and water-taxi connection.

• Check-in: 3 PM – 7 PM
• Check-out: by 11 AM

We can often store luggage if you have early arrivals or late departures — just let us know in advance.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided for casual browsing, email, and streaming. Please avoid heavy downloads or illegal activity. We reserve the right to restrict access if network performance is affected.

We know accidents happen — just tell us right away so we can minimize damage or replacement costs. The lead guest is responsible for any damage or loss caused by anyone in the booking party.

Replacement costs (examples):

• Lost keys – $30
• Shower towel – $30
• Hand towel – $20
• Umbrellas $35
• Bed sheets – $25
• Duvet/Cover – $50

Lost-and-found items are held for 30 days. We’ll happily mail them back at the guest’s expense.

Smoking / Vaping of any kind (including e-cigs or vapes) is NOT permitted inside any bungalow or treehouse.

Smoking / Vaping is allowed only in designated outdoor areas or on private decks — please be courteous of other guests.

We’re unable to accommodate pets or service animals on the property..

The personal details you provide when booking or contacting us are handled according to our Privacy Policy. Please review it for full details.

• Quiet hours begin at 10 PM.
• No illegal substances or activities.
• No unregistered outside guests on property.
• Resort towels must stay on-site (please bring your own for beach trips).
• Conserve water and electricity whenever possible — island resources are precious.

Staying in the jungle canopy is part of the adventure — and part of the magic — but it also means taking care where you step. Please use caution when walking on stairs, decks, and suspension bridges, especially in wet or dark conditions.

Macaw Bungalows & Treehouses is not liable for injuries or accidents resulting from unsafe behavior, failure to follow posted guidance, or disregard for common-sense safety. Guests assume responsibility for their own wellbeing while exploring the property.

We reserve the right to cancel a booking without refund if these terms are violated or if guest behavior poses a risk to others or the property.
